The White Album Ensemble has performed Beatles music that the Beatles never performed, for 14 years of sold out performances, since 2003. The Beggar Kings are a similar production, from the same production team, performing the "Golden Age" of Rolling Stones music, the 1968-1972 era of lead guitarist Mick Taylor, Horn Section, Billy Preston and Nicky Hopkins on keyboards, female background choir. The Stones are, of course still touring, but not with that exact formua, however these songs are the ones they keep getting back to.
As both WAE, and BKs have already covered the target albums in their original order, many fans ask that we do something we want to, and the WAE's "Player's choice" show was one of the best, the musicians favorites are particularly "inspired". A fabulous string quartet made up of members of SF, Santa Cruz, and Oakland, Ca. symphonies, and the Pleasure point Horns will be on hand to add class sheen and texture! Expect the Unexpected, and enjoy songs like "I am the Walrus", "You Cant Always get What You Want", as well as a BKs offering of some Stones style Tom Petty, honoring the great fallen rocker of 2017.
