The White Album Ensemble has performed Beatles music that the Beatles never performed, for 15 years of sold out performances, since 2003. They have reproduced "live" the albums Rubber Soul, Revolver, Sgt Peppers, Magical Mystery Tour, The White Album, Let It Be, and Abbey Road. They have performed these sets, or in different combinations, like "Symphonic concerts" with Orchestras with 80 pieces, to "Unplugged" acoustic shows, to String Quartets and Horn Sections with Rock band. This year, the complexity of all the choirs and orchestral instruments is given a break, as the groups "get back" to their basic rock band configuration, with he intent to Rock It!
The Beggar Kings are a similar production, from the same production team, only this group performs the "Golden Age" of Rolling Stones records, the 1968-1972 era of lead guitarist Mick Taylor, Billy Preston and Nicky Hopkins on keyboards. "The Stones" are, of course still touring, but not with that exact formula, however these songs are the ones they seem to keep getting back to, as they are so ingrained in our lives, from British invasion, to Psychedelia, to "The worlds greatest Rock and Roll Band" ( Which are fighting words to many Beatles fanatics).
As both WAE, and BKs have already covered the target albums in their original order, many fans ask that we do something we want to ( like a chef's choice at a favorite restaurant", and the WAE's "Player's choice" show was one of the most wel attended in recent years, the musician's favorites are doubly "inspired".
